William Russell Bryson

Mr. William Russell Bryson age 63 of 120 Pinedale Ave., Union, passed away Tuesday, October 5, 2021 in Spartanburg.

Mr. Bryson was born in Union, November 22, 1957, a son of the late James W. "Lefty" Bryson and Jeanelle Robertson "Jenny" Bryson. He was a 1977 graduate of Union High School and received a BS degree from Newberry College. Mr. Bryson was retired from Webb Forging. He was a member of the First Baptist Church of Union and was an avid bowler having played with multiple leagues at Fairwood Lanes.

Surviving are two daughters, Shelly Bryson and Ashley Bryson both of Spartanburg; a sister, Kathy Bryson of the home; two brothers, James R. "Randy" Bryson and wife Elizabeth of Palm Harbor, FL and Donald E. "Don" Bryson and wife Frances of Union; four grandsons, Chase and Carter Mitchell and Kayson and Levi Kingsmore; two nieces, Jennifer Roark and Beth Jolly; one nephew, Jonathon Bryson; a great-nephew, Ford Jolly and a special friend and mother of his children, Denise Chaney of Union.

A memorial service will be held at 2:00 PM Sunday, October 24, 2021 at the First Baptist Church Chapel conducted by Rev. Robbie Stollger. The family will receive friends after the service in the church fellowship hall.
