William G. Cogdill

September 17, 2016 Mr. William Grady Cogdill, age 72, husband of Juanita Shrader Cogdill of 319 Double Bridge Rd., Boiling Springs, died Thursday evening, September 15, 2016 at Spartanburg Medical Center. He was a former resident of Baber Street, Union.| Mr. Cogdill was born in Lockart, SC., October 10, 1943, a son of the late Grady Lee Cogdill and Virginia Bennett Cogdill. He was a graduate of Lockhart High School and Lee College in Cleveland TN. Mr. Cogdill retired from Torrington Tiger River plant after 37 years. A member of North Spartanburg Church of God. Mr. Cogdill served as a Sunday school teacher, a member of the church choir and sang with various other local groups. Surviving are two sons, Jeffrey Lee Cogdill and wife Angela and Timothy Brian Gaston and wife Janet both of Union; a sister, Mary Lee Moss of Spartanburg; a brother, Leonard Fred Cogdill and wife Bobbie of Boiling Springs; three granddaughters, Brittany Moore Cogdill, Amanda McCraw and Taylor Cogdill all of Union. Funeral services will be held 2:00 PM Monday, September 19, 2016 at North Spartanburg Church of God, 2069 Chesnee Hwy., Spartanburg SC. 29303, conducted by the Rev. Larry Flippo. Burial will follow at 4:00 PM in Union Memorial Gardens, 1720 Whitmire Hwy., Union, SC., 29379. Visitation will be held from 12:30 until 2:00 PM prior to service at the church and also immediately following the committal service at the cemetery. Memorials may be made to North Spartanburg Church of God, 2069 Chesnee Hwy., Spartanburg, SC. 29303. The family will be at their respective homes.
