William Donald “Don” Fowler

November 10, 2017 Mr. William Donald "Don" Fowler, age 70, husband of Rickie Grant Fowler of Union, SC was welcomed to Heaven Thursday, November 9, 2017. Mr. Fowler was born in Union, November 24, 1946 a son of the late James H., Sr. and Katherine Fowler. Don worked in the family owned business Dixie Curb Market for many years. He also worked with American General Life Insurance Company, Midway Barbecue, USC-Union, and Mon-Aetna Baptist Church. He was a member of Lockhart First Baptist Church and was a former Deacon at First Baptist Church of Union. Surviving in addition to his wife of 53 years are two daughters, Kathy Price and Charlie of Boone, NC and Dawn Shick of Union; six grandchildren, Molly Price MacDonald, Laura Price, and Jack Price all of Boone, NC and Jeffrey Shick, Jon Ryan Shick, and Caroline Shick all of Union; one brother, Gene Fowler and wife Linda of Lexington. He was predeceased by two brothers, John Fowler and Jimbo Fowler, Jr and two grandchildren, Joseph Shick and Amara Dawn Shick. Funeral services will be held 3:00 PM Sunday, November 12, 2017 at Lockhart First Baptist Church conducted by the Rev. Delos Blanton, Rev. Robert Emory, and Rev. Chris Gulledge. Burial will follow at Union Memorial Gardens. Active pallbearers will be Mitch Sinclair, Allen Cabaniss, Luke Jenkins, Spencer Ledford, Jonathan Fowler, and Greg Fowler. Visitation will be held Sunday from 1:00 until 3:00 PM prior to the services at the church. Memorials may be made to Lockhart First Baptist Church, P.O. Box 190, Lockhart, SC 29364.
