William Harold Horne

January 17, 2019 Mr. William Harold Horne, age 73, passed away Wednesday, January 16, 2019 at Heartland of Union. Mr. Horne was born July 15, 1945 a son of the late Lewis Horne and Estelle Dabbs Horne. He was born and raised in Lockhart, SC. Mr. Horne was a graduate of Lockhart High School and formerly employed with Torrington. He was a member of Fairforest Baptist Church, the Union Elks Club, and the Union Masonic Lodge No. 75. Surviving are a daughter, Toni Horne Allen of Union; a son, Derrick Horne of Union; a grandson, William Harold Horne, II of Union; two great-grandsons, Zeek Horne of Union and Nolan Horne of Columbia; a sister, Carol Horne McMakin and husband Jerry of Taylors; a brother, Grady Horne and wife Brenda of Union; a special friend, Bobby Bailey of Union; and a number of nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by four brothers, Aubrey Horne, JD Horne, Robert Horne, and Cham Horne and two sisters, Ruth Gault and Gladys Revis. The family would like to thank the nurses and staff of Heartland of Union and Crescent Hospice for their love and care of Mr. Horne during his illness. At the request of Mr. Horne, no services are scheduled at this time. The family is at the home of his daughter, Toni H. Allen, 210-A Springdale Dr., Union, SC 29379.
