Mr. William Lawrence Keisler, age 90, widower of Carol Ray Keisler, of 122 Lybrand St., went to be with the Lord Monday, September 15, 2025.
Mr. Keisler was born February 2, 1935 in Union, South Carolina, a son of the late Lawrence Keisler and Corrie Mitchell Keisler. He worked for 20 years at Monarch Mill, then Excelsior Mill, later retiring after 26 years working at Torrington – Timken Industries. Mr. Keisler served in the US Air Force and was one of the first members of New Life Baptist Church where he worshiped faithfully. He loved his Sunday School Class and taking part in the various activities of the church, especially the Senior Trips.
Mr. Keisler is survived by a daughter, April Keisler, of the home, a son, Benji Keisler of Spartanburg, grandchildren, Kayla Vinson, Kaitlyn Vinson, Eden Keisler, Jack Byrd, and Anna Byrd, a nephew, Billy Ray Keisler and a sisters-in-law, Mary Terry and Patsy Keisler. He was predeceased by a sister, Annie Mae Ruest and brothers, John Whit, Leroy Mitchell, Fred Keisler, Bobby Gene Keisler and Paul Andrew Keisler. Mr. Keisler was the last surviving member of his immediate family.
Funeral services are planned for Saturday, September 20, 2025, 2:00 PM at New Life Baptist Church, conducted by Rev. Shannon Faulkner and Rev. Todd Davis. Visitation will be 1:00 PM until 2:00 PM prior to the service. Burial will follow in Rosemont Cemetery.
Active pallbearers will be Tracy Tucker, Derrick Keisler, Chad Bailey, Jeff Henderson, E.J. Huntington, David Keisler, Daniel White and Andy Cash. The members of his Sunday School Class are asked to sit as Honorary Pallbearers.
The family is at the home, 122 Lybrand St., Union, SC.
