William Ronald Palmer

Mr. William Ronald "Ronnie" Palmer, age 83, husband of Brenda Snowden Palmer of 103 Highland Dr., Union passed away Wednesday, September 14, 2022 at his home.

Mr. Palmer was born in Union, August 28, 1939, a son of the late Willie Oliver Palmer and Ruby Vaughan Palmer. He was retired from Heilig-Meyers Furniture and was a member of Fairview Baptist Church. Mr. Palmer was a veteran of the US Navy.

Surviving in addition to his wife of 60 years, Brenda, are a daughter, Deborah Palmer Clanton of Union, two sons, William Eric Palmer of Atlanta, GA and Kevin Lee Palmer and wife Melindy of Blacksburg; grandchildren, Daniel Clanton and wife Julie, Jennifer Turner, William Anthony Palmer and Yvonne Sherry Palmer; a great-grandson, Bryson Baker; two brothers, Robert Donald Palmer of Lockhart and Carl Palmer and wife Kathy of Atlanta, GA; a sister-in-law, Shirley Palmer of Union and several nieces and nephews.  Mr. Palmer was predeceased by four sisters, Betty Thomas, Frances Palmer, JoAnn Palmer and Mary Richardson, and six brothers, James Palmer, Oliver Palmer, Thomas Palmer, Harold E. "Sonny" Palmer, Billy Palmer and Stanley Michael Palmer.

Funeral services will be held at 3:00 PM Friday, September 16, 2022 at Fairview Baptist Church conducted by Rev. Jeff Dean. Burial with Military Honors will follow at Union Memorial Gardens. Active pallbearers will be Harry Douglas Edwards, Billy Palmer, Will Palmer, Chris Patrick, Jerry Palmer and Daniel Clanton.

The family will receive friends Friday from 2:00 until 3:00 PM at the church prior to the services.
