William David Porter

October 13, 2017 Mr. William David Porter, 59, passed away at Beaufort Memorial Hospital on Tuesday, October 10, 2017. Mr. Porter was born June 7, 1959 in Union County a son of the late Joe D. "Bud" Porter and Evelyn Campbell Porter. He was co-owner and operator of Porter's Paint Company until his retirement at which time he moved to Beaufort to enjoy fishing, shrimping and his friends of the Lands Ends Community. He also enjoyed spending time with his family and was a TRUE Clemson Tiger Fan. Mr. Porter is survived by his wife Tammy Griffin Porter of the home in Beaufort; two sons, Stephen D. Porter and wife Raven of Blackstock and Jeremy D. McDaniel and wife Danielle of Sharon; a daughter Brandy M. Faile and Husband Jake of Van Wyck; a sister Donna Porter of Sharon. Mr. Porter also had four wonderful grandchildren Dustyn, Kane, Kaylan, and Caleb. A celebration of life will be held at 1:00pm Saturday, October 14, 2017 at Lockhart Free Will Baptist Church, 126 Askew Cr. Union, SC 29739 with Pastor Sam Baine officiating. Burial will follow at Porter Gallman Cemetery.
