William Felston Ridings

Mr. William Felston Ridings, age 75, husband of Sue Maness Ridings of 112 Fairforest Heights, Buffalo, passed away Tuesday, August 4, 2015 at his home. Mr. Ridings was born March 30, 1940, a son of the late John William Ridings and Inez Dorman Ridings. He was retired from Hoechst Celanese after thirty-one years of service. He was a member of Buffalo United Methodist Church and Duncan Masonic Lodge #256. Mr. Ridings was also a Hejaz Shriner and a member of the Warriors Unit and was a former member of the South Carolina National Guard-Pacolet Unit. Surviving in addition to his wife of fifty-six years are a son, David Ridings and wife Roxanne of Union; a grandchild, Hannah Rodriguez and husband Phillip; two great-grandchildren, Madeline and Mason; a sister, Janice Murray of Boiling Springs and a brother, Jimmy Ridings and wife Shirley of Gaffney. Mr. Ridings was predeceased by a son, Jeffery Wait Ridings and three sisters. Funeral services will be held 3:00 PM Thursday, August 6, 2015 at Buffalo United Methodist Church conducted by Rev. Kevin Dalton, Rev. Ron Towery and Mr. Jimmy Maness. Burial will be in Union Memorial Gardens with Masonic Rites. Active pallbearers will be Phillip Rodriguez, Zack Wood, Tracy Petty, Keith Wilson, Jr, Lonnie Lee, Doug Dochterman, Gregg Maness and Matt Robbins. Honorary Pallbearers will be The Hejaz Warriors, Danny Ray Brown, Jackie Haney, Danny McGlocklin and the Buffalo Mill Pond Gang. Visitation will be held 6:00-8:00 PM Wednesday evening at the SR Holcombe Funeral Home. Memorials may be made to Buffalo United Methodist Church, P.O. Box 176, Buffalo, SC 29321. The family is at the home, 112 Fairforest Heights, Buffalo.
