William Vinson

September 17, 2018 Mr. William Vinson, age 87, husband of Ann Parks Vinson of 415 Mill Street, Lockhart, passed away Sunday, September 16, 2018 at Union Medical Center. Mr. Vinson was born in Woodruff, SC August 9, 1931, a son of the late Robert Victor Vinson and Bernice Adams Vinson. He retired from Sonoco Products and was previously employed with Milliken & Company- Lockhart Plant. Mr. Vinson was a member of Lockhart First Baptist Church where he was a former Deacon. He was the last surviving member of five children. Surviving in addition to his wife are a daughter, Rose Ann Vinson of the home and numerous nieces and nephews. Mr. Vinson was predeceased by a son, William Keith Vinson; a sister, Phoebe V. Whitaker and three brothers, Robert Vinson, Jr., Fred Vinson and Elbert Vinson. Funeral services will be held 3:00 PM Wednesday, September 19, 2018 at Lockhart First Baptist Church conducted by Rev. Delos Blanton, Rev. Dr. Don McCutcheon and Rev. Merritt Wentz. Burial will be in Mt. Tabor Presbyterian Church Cemetery. Active pallbearers will be Mike Allen, Steve Robinson, Jason Plemmons, Eddie Burnett, Alan Cabaniss and Paul McCutcheon. Visitation will be held 1:30-3:00 PM Wednesday in the church prior to the service. Memorials may be made to Lockhart First Baptist Church, P.O. Box 190, Lockhart, SC 29364. The family is at the home, 415 Mill Street, Lockhart.
