Willie Thomas Bobo

April 18, 2016 Mr. Willie Thomas Bobo, age 84 of 778 Browns Creek Church Rd., husband of Shirley Vaughan Bobo passed away Sunday, April 17, 2016 at Union Medical Center. Mr. Bobo was born in Union, SC on April 28, 1931 a son of the late Callie Brooks Bobo and Osie Shetley Bobo. He was a veteran of the United States Army having served in the Korean Conflict and later the South Carolina National Guard. Mr. Bobo retired from Milliken & Co-Monarch Plant. He was an active member of Browns Creek Baptist Church where he held various positions in the church. Surviving in addition to his wife are three daughters, Sheila Mize and husband Danny, Angie Davis and husband Johnny, and Tracy Garner and husband Kevin all of Union; one nephew reared in the home, Robert Wilkinson of Greenville; six grandchildren, Jon Mize and wife Brittany of Georgia, Adam Mize and wife Jenny of Union, Lacey Addis and husband Daniel of Woodruff, Brittaney Davis and husband Justin Hart of Union, Noah Garner of Union and Kallee Garner of Union; eight great-grandchildren, Carter Mize, Brice Mize, Luke Paschall, Brayden West, Analeigh Hart, Ryder Addis, Avery Addis, and Tanner Johnson. He was predeceased by one brother, Ralph Bobo and one sister, Joyce Bobo Wilkinson. Funeral services will be held 3:00 PM Wednesday, April 20, 2016 at Browns Creek Baptist Church conducted by the Rev. John Lee. Burial with Military Honors will follow in the church cemetery. Active pallbearers will be Petey Ivey, Calvin Smith, Larry Vaughan, Twig Adams, Byrd Ivey, Don Hyder, and Ronnie Gregory. The Claudie Williams Sunday School Class of Browns Creek Baptist Church are asked to sit in a group. Visitation will be held from 1:30 PM until 3:00 PM Wednesday prior to the services at the church.
