Willie Dean "Deanie" Clark

Mrs. Willie Dean Clark, fondly known as Deanie, widow of James Bobo Clark of Union, passed away Wednesday, July 12, 2023 at Brookstone Terrace of Woodruff.

Mrs. Clark was born in Greer, May 23, 1930, a daughter of the late Genevieve Jenkins Parham and Fletcher B. Parham of Arcadia, Spartanburg, SC.

Deanie worked as an LPN in the surgical department of Spartanburg Regional Medical Center and then Wallace Thompson Hospital. She retired after 25 years of service. She was a member of Tabernacle Baptist Church where she served in the Primary Department and was a member of the choir for many years. She later became a member of The Church of God, serving God in many areas.

Mrs. Clark is survived by a daughter, Jamie C. Stepp, son-in-law, Joe Stepp and grandson, Coby Stepp and wife Michelle Sanders Stepp all of Mt. Vernon Church Rd., Union; a great-granddaughter, Amber Diaz and husband, Andrew; a great-great-granddaughter, Joslynnn and a great-great-grandson, Dawson all of Chesnee. She is also survived by a sister, Pattie L. Parham of Palatka, FL; two nieces, Marte Parham of Texas and Susan P. Ledford, and a nephew, Bryan Parham both of Charleston.

There are no words to express the family's sincere gratitude to Brookstone Terrace Assisted Living Facility, who took wonderful care of Mrs. Clark during her stay. Also, to In Home Health Care and Hospice Care who cared for her at Brookstone Terrace as she transitioned from assisted living to the end of life stages.

Graveside services will be held at 11:00 AM Friday, July 14, 2023 at Union Memorial Gardens conducted by Rev. Scott Cobb. The family will receive friends at the graveside immediately following the services.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society, 154 Milestone Way, Greenville, SC 29615, or to the Alzheimer's Association, 901 S. Pine St., Spartanburg, SC 29302 or to Interim Healthcare Hospice, 16 Hyland Rd., Greenville, SC 29615 or plant a tree in her memory.

The family will be at the home of her daughter, Jamie and Joe Stepp, 137 Mt. Vernon Church Rd., Union, SC.
