Williiam "Will" Scott Cobb

Mr. William "Will" Scott Cobb, age 43, husband of Sarah Murphy Cobb, of 201 Spruce Street, Union, passed away Friday, August 9, 2024.

Mr. Cobb was born July 17,1981 in Spartanburg SC, the son of Rev. Robert Scott Cobb and Rhonda Prince Cobb of Union. Will was a 1999 graduate of Union High School and was a former employee of the US Forest Service where he worked as a Timber Marker, a job which he really enjoyed. Mr. Cobb served with the SC Army National Guard which deployed him to Afghanistan in Operation Enduring Freedom. He later worked as a stay-at-home dad caring for his precious children that he dearly loved. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, outdoors and was a game show wiz Will was a member of Lakeside Baptist Church.

In addition to his wife and parents, he is survived by a daughter Natalie Sophia Cobb and a son William Spencer Cobb; aunts, Vickie McCully and Lawana Moss of Union, uncles Raymond E Cobb, Jr of Columbia and Steve Cobb and his wife Becky of Union and his grandfather, William Moss. His surviving cousins are Michelle Helton, Brittany Carter (Shane), Ansleigh Moss, Michael Cobb (Betsy), his in-laws Richard and Ann Murphy, brother-in-law Shawn Murphy (Dana), nieces Hayleigh and Alyson Murphy and nephew Samuel Murphy Mr. Cobb leaves a large extended family. He was pre-deceased by grandparents, Raymond and Gail Cobb, Robert Prince, Freida Moss, great grandparents, Lois and Bobby Holt, his aunt Carol Dunagin and cousin, Brandi Boughman.

Funeral services will be held at 3:00 PM, Friday, August 16, Lakeside Baptist Church of Union, conducted by Rev. Dr. Ron Culbertson. Visitation will be held Thursday night, August 15, from 6:00 until 8:00 PM at the S.R. Holcombe Funeral Chapel.

Burial will follow at Bogansville United Methodist Church Cemetery with Military Honors. Active pallbearers will be Zach Bennett, Michael Cobb, Dell Mitchell, Steven Yount, Michael Weaver, Ralph Crocker, Matthew DeHart and Roger Wells.

The family will be at the home of Rev. Scott and Rhonda Cobb, 105 Newport Rd., Union, SC, 29379.
