Mr. Woodrow Wilson Waldrop, Jr., age 71, husband of Marlene Boulware Waldrop of 214 Old English Rd., Union, passed away Saturday, December 24, 2016 at his home. Mr. Waldrop was born in Union, SC on December 3, 1945 a son of the late Woodrow Wilson Waldrop, Sr. and Mildred Browning Waldrop. He was graduate of Union High School and was a Veteran of the United States Navy. Mr. Waldrop retired from Cone Mill-Carlisle Finishing and had previously worked with Duke Power as a welder at the Catawba Nuclear Plant. Surviving in addition to his wife are two daughters, Beth W. Camp and husband Larry Camp, Jr. of Blacksburg and Linda Gayle Moore of Union; one sister, Elaine W. Crocker and husband Danny of Union; two brothers, Robert Waldrop and wife Mary of Buffalo and Danny Waldrop of Union; four grandchildren, Zane Moore, Jayla Moore, Kevin Scott Moore, and Jenna Alman; one great-granddaughter, Emory Alman; several nieces and nephews; and a beloved pet poodle, Nikki. He was predeceased by one brother, Terry Waldrop. A celebration of life service will be held at 6:00 PM Thursday, December 29, 2016 at the S.R. Holcombe Funeral Chapel conducted by the Rev. Ron Culbertson. Visitation will be held after the services. Mr. Waldrop's nephews are asked to serve as the honorary escort. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Love Springs Baptist Church - Playground Fund, 107 Spring Hills Rd., Cowpens, SC 29330. The family is at their respective homes.
