Zora Johnson Vinson

March 23, 2016 Mrs. Zora Johnson Vinson, age 89, of 1817 Jonesville Hwy., Union, widow of Thomas Vinson passed away, Wednesday, March 23, 2016 at Ellen Sagar Nursing Center. Mrs. Vinson was born in Union, May 29, 1926 a daughter of the late Thomas Johnson and Louella Robinson Johnson. She was a homemaker and a member of Brown's Creek Baptist Church. Mrs. Vinson was the last surviving member of her immediate family. Surviving are three sons, Harold Dean Vinson of Spartanburg, James Vinson of Oklahoma City, OK, and Hoyle Vinson of Hobbsville, NC; one granddaughter, Laryssa Bryant of Mt. Holly, NC; one grandson, Rev. Hoyle "Kip" Vinson of Hobbsville, NC; and numerous nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by two brothers and seven sisters. Funeral services will be held 2:00 PM Saturday, March 26, 2016 at Brown's Creek Baptist Church conducted by the Rev. John Lee. Burial will follow in Union Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be held from 1:00 until 2:00 PM Saturday at the church prior to the services. Memorial may be made to Brown's Creek Baptist Church, 118 Brown's Creek Church Rd., Union, SC 29379. The family will be at their respective homes.
