Albert White Obituary

Mr. Albert Thomas “Tommy” White, age 72, of 107 4th St., Union, passed away, Tuesday, November 2, 2021, at Spartanburg Regional Medical Center.

Mr. White was born November 6, 1948 in Union, a son of the late Thomas Albert White and Joeanne Holladaye White. He was formerly employed with United Merchants Buffalo Plant. Mr. White was of the Baptist Faith. He was inducted into the Basketball Hall of Fame for the Alabama School for the Deaf and Blind in Talladega, Alabama.

Surviving are a granddaughter, Brooke McDowell of Jonesville; a grandson, Jesse Harris of Spartanburg; a sister, Patricia Hood and husband Raymond of Gaffney; and three great-grandchildren, Teagan Harris, Jayleigh Harris, and Kaiden Jennings. He was predeceased by a daughter, Lisa Anne White-Harris and a sister, Mary Lou Moore.

Memorial services will be held at 2:00 PM Sunday, November 7, 2021 at the S.R. Holombe Funeral Chapel conducted by the Rev. Carroll Caldwell. Visitation will be immediately following the services.
