Betty (Jones) Grady

Mrs. Betty “Bet” Jones Grady, age 86, of 1817 Jonesville Hwy., Union, widow of Marion “Cooter” Grady, went to be with the Lord, Thursday, June 18, 2020 at Ellen Sagar Nursing Center.

Mrs. Grady was born December 11, 1933 in Union, a daughter of the late William J. Jones and Bertha Fowler Jones.  She was a graduate of Jonesville High School and formerly employed with Ace Sweater.  Mrs. Grady was a member of Mon Aetna Baptist Church where she had previously been in the choir.

Surviving are two sisters, Ethel Palmer and Leila Shirley both of Union and a number of nieces and nephews.  She was predeceased by four sisters and one brother.

Graveside services will be held at 2:00 PM Sunday, June 21, 2020 at Gilead Baptist Church Cemetery conducted by the Rev. Wayne Cooke.  Visitation will be immediately following the graveside service.

The family would like to extend a special thank you to the staff of Ellen Sagar Nursing Center and Medi Home Hospice.
