Betty Rae Horne

            Mrs. Betty Rae Scott Horne, age 72, proud wife of 50 years to Bobby Ray Horne of 109 Center Rd., Union, passed away Monday, May 30, 2022 at her home surrounded by her family.

            Mrs. Horne was born in Union, July 16, 1949, a daughter of Lois Mull Scott of Union and the late Boyd Ray Scott. She was a graduate of Union High School and retired from Wellington Leisure Products. After retirement, Mrs. Horne lovingly cared for her home and her husband.

            Surviving in addition to her husband and mother are two sisters, Cynthia S. Horne and Harriett S. Smith and husband Todd all of Union; a brother, Kenny Scott and wife Judy of Union; a sister-in-law, Barbara McCall-Crayne and husband Phil of Union and numerous nieces, nephews, and great-nieces and nephews.

            Funeral services will be held at 3:00 PM Thursday, June 2, 2022 at Philippi Baptist Church conducted by Rev. Robert Scott and Rev. Brad Goodale. Burial will follow at Union Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be held from 2:00 until 3:00 PM Thursday at the church prior to the service.

            Active pallbearers will be Logan Betenbaugh, Jonah McCutcheon, Noah McCutcheon, Shane Petrie, Tim Rogers and Tony McCall.

            Memorials may be made to Philippi Baptist Church, 327 Philippi Church Rd., Union, SC 29379.

            The family will be at the home of her niece, Kacey Petrie, 408 Toney Rd., Union.
