Mrs. Betty Lawson Stepp, age 75, of 325 Askew Circle, Union, widow of Berry Stepp, passed away Wednesday, October 6, 2021, at Woodruff Manor.
Mrs. Stepp was born in Union, March 19, 1946, a daughter of the late Charles R.C. Lawson and Mae Martin Lawson. She was a graduate of Lockhart High School and retired from Union Co. Disabilities and Special Needs. Mrs. Stepp was a member of Lockhart Free Will Baptist Church.
Surviving are two daughters, Patti Inman and husband Dale of Lockhart and Crystal Dabbs and friend Jay Haney of Union; two sisters, Dot Gibson of Sharon, and Ruby Gettys of Union; grandchildren, Lindsay Powers and husband J.B., Caitlyn Davis and husband Tyler, Savannah Heatherly and husband Jeffrey, Amanda Roark and friend Jonathan and Brandon Walters and wife Amber and seven great-grandchildren. Mrs. Stepp was predeceased by a son, Berry Ledon Stepp and a brother, Robert “Greasy” Lawson.
Funeral services will be held at 3:00 PM Friday, October 8, 2021, at Lockhart Free Will Baptist Church conducted by Rev. Sam Baine. Burial will be at Lockhart Cemetery.
Active pallbearers will be Dexter Inman, Randall Burns, Sam Baine, Sr., Tony Lawson, Mike Vanderford, and Jeffrey Heatherly.
Visitation will be held from 2:00 until 3:00 PM Friday at the church prior to the services.

The family will be at their respective homes.
