Betty Grady Shetley

            Mrs. Betty Grady Shetley, age 82, wife of Stuart “Buddy” Shetley of 865 Eison Town Rd., Jonesville, went home to be with the Lord Tuesday, September 5, 2023.

            Mrs. Shetley was born in Union, May 24, 1941, a daughter of the late William Grady, Sr. and June Hogan Grady. She was a graduate of Union High School and retired from Milliken and Company after 43 years. Mrs. Shetley was a member of McCutchen Memorial Presbyterian Church. Betty loved her family and enjoyed cooking for them. She was a beloved wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother.

            Surviving in addition to her husband of 64 years, Buddy, is a daughter, Donna Thompson and husband Darrin of Spartanburg; grandchildren, Amy Fox, Preston and Taylor Thompson, Kallie and Jacob Karasch and a predeceased grandson, Eric Fox; great-grandchildren, Jada Fox, James Thompson, Luke Thompson, Henry Karasch and Louie Karasch; four sisters-in-law, Ann Grady, Stella Quinn, Ruth Crayne and Brenda Shetley and many nieces and nephews. Mrs. Shetley was the last surviving member of her immediate family. She is predeceased by two brothers, Billy Grady and Kenneth Grady and other family members, Jettie and Herbert Johnson, John Quinn, Robert Shetley, Linda and Claudie Williams and Mickey Crayne.

            Graveside services will be held at 11:00 AM Friday, September 8, 2023 at Union Memorial Gardens conducted by Pastor Shawn Head.

            Visitation will be held at the graveside immediately following the services.

            The family will be at the home, 865 Eison Town Rd., Jonesville.
