Obituary
Mr. Billy O’Neil Roberts, age 84, husband of Betty Grady Roberts of 767 Peach Orchard Rd., Union, passed away Thursday, April 20, 2023, at his home.
Mr. Roberts was born in Union, August 11, 1938, a son of the late William and Hattie Strickland Roberts. He retired from the Union County Maintenance Dept. as a mechanic. Mr. Roberts was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints where he was always faithful in his church work. He was a loving husband, father and grandfather who loved to be outdoors “tinkering”. He was the last surviving member of his immediate family.
Surviving in addition to his wife are a son, Toney O’Neil Roberts and wife Greta of Lewisville, NC; his grandson, William Michael Roberts and numerous nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held at 4:00 PM Sunday, April 23, 2023 at the S.R. Holcombe Funeral Chapel conducted by President Grudzibn and President Hamblin. Visitation will be held from 3:00 until 4:00 PM Sunday at the chapel prior to the services. Burial will follow at Rosemont Cemetery.
Active pallbearers will be Billy Vinson, Larry Henson, John Foster, Terry Roberts, Jackie Earls and Kong Song.
The family will be at the home, 767 Peach Orchard Rd., Union.
