Bobby "Frank" Summer

Mr. Bobby “Frank” Summer, age 92, of 176 Summer Valley Rd., Buffalo, went to be with Lord, Wednesday, May 4, 2022, at his home.

Mr. Summer was born December 16, 1929, in Union, a son of the late Ollie Summer and Bertha Brock Summer.  He was retired from Petey Ivey Construction.  Mr. Summer was a Veteran of the United States Army.  He was a member True Gospel Life Church where he served in various capacities, including sharing his love for music with the church.

Surviving are a sister, Brooks Summer Varner of the home; eight nieces, Shannon Smith and husband Boris, Jessica Levister and husband Tyrell Johns, Faith Smith, Hope Smith, Crystal Prince, Caitlyn Horn, Dianne Anthony and Christy Casey and husband Chris; seven great-nephews, Dillon Smith, Jayden Smith, Jonathan Culp, Landon Smith, Dee Anthony and wife Beth, Dale Summer and Daniel Strait; and a number of great-nieces and great-nephews.  He was predeceased by three brothers, Forest Earl Summer, Charles Summer, and John Varner; four sisters, Roberta Summer, Margie Summer, Gearline Summer, and Beth Summer-Strait; and two nephews, Steven Summer and Billy Anthony.

Funeral services will be held at 3:00 PM Saturday, May 7, 2022 at the S.R. Holcombe Funeral Chapel conducted by the Rev. Rick Cook.  Burial will follow at Bogansville United Methodist Church Cemetery. 

Active pallbearers will be Mr. Summer’s nephews.

Visitation will be held from 2:00 PM until 3:00 PM prior to the services at the Church.
