Brenda Jenkins Obituary

Mrs. Brenda Faye Bryant Jenkins, age 65, wife of Larry “Luke” Jenkins, of 109 Estes Rd., Union, passed away Tuesday, September 7, 2021, at Spartanburg Regional Medical Center.

Mrs. Jenkins was born January 13, 1956 in Cowpens, a daughter of the late Robert Bryant and Doris Rice Bryant.  She was retired from Lockhart Town Hall as the Secretary and Clerk.  Mrs. Jenkins was a member of Lockhart First Baptist Church where she was active in Ladies Bible Study, the Adult II Sunday School Class, the Baptismal Committee, and the Bereavement Committee. 

Surviving in addition to her husband are a daughter Shannon Perry of Union; a step-son, Wesley Jenkins of Woodruff; two sisters, Deborah Cooley of Spartanburg and Pamela Scaefer of Tryon, NC; a brother, Dennis Pongrantz of Mauldin; two grandchildren, Charles Perry, Jr. and fiancée Kayla Poole and Bryson Perry; and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held at 3:00 PM Sunday, September 12, 2021 at Lockhart First Baptist Church Family Life Center conducted by the Rev. Drew Rogers and Rev. Delos Blanton.  Burial will follow at Lockhart Cemetery.

Active pallbearers will be Arnold Childers, Scott Vlock, Jason Childers, Jason Plemmons, David Turner, and Jantzen Childers.

Visitation will be held from 2:00 PM until 3:00 PM prior to the services at the Church.

Memorials may be made to Lockhart First Baptist Church Building Fund, P.O. Box 190, Lockhart, SC 29364.

The family is at the home, 109 Estes Rd., Union, SC 29379.
