Mrs. Brenda Allen Wilson, age 79, went home to be with the Lord on September 6, 2021, at Spartanburg Regional Restorative Care.
Mrs. Wilson is preceded in death by her parents E.T. “Dick” Allen and Stella Allen and her husband Ernest Wilson. She is survived by her three children with her former husband Jan Hagan: Phillip Hagan (Kim) of Union; Beth Hagan Foster of Union; Laura Hagan Graham (Fred) of Tuscaloosa, AL; stepdaughter Lisa Wilson Fraim (Rob) of Union; seven grandchildren: Brandon Hagan of Columbus, Ohio, Jordan Hagan (Melissa) of Simpsonville, SC, Sarah Elizabeth Voiselle of Union, Ashley Hagan Ward (Clay) of Clinton, SC, Hagan Graham of Tuscaloosa, AL, Shane Adams of Simpsonville, SC, and Zach Fraim of Union; seven great grandchildren – Avery Hagan, Liam Hagan, Parker Voiselle, Grayson Ward, Jonathan Adams, Jacob Adams, and Breanna Adams.
Mrs. Wilson worked in retail on Main Street, Union where she developed friendships with many in the community. She enjoyed gardening, visiting with her friends, collecting recipes, going to church, and spending time with her family. She was a member of Sardis Methodist Church where she had served on several committees and was in the United Methodist Women’s Group #1. She was deeply loved and will be missed by her family and friends.
Funeral services will be held at 3:00 pm September 9, 2021 at Sardis Methodist Church with burial to follow in the church cemetery. Visitation will be prior to the service at the church from 2:00 pm until 3:00 pm. Pallbearers will be Brandon Hagan, Jordan Hagan, Hagan Graham, Shane Adams, Mike Foster, Ethan Kerr, and Tyler Smith. Honorary pallbearers are: Larry Yarborough, Perry Haney, Clark Canupp, Marcus Harris, Teddy Renwick, Bobby Land, and Gerald Jones. The family request the United Methodist Women’s Group #1 and the Woodmen Life Chapter 323 members sit together.
Memorials may be made to Sardis Methodist Church – Salkehatchie, Neighbor Helping Neighbor, and the UMW Group #1. The family is at her home 300 Bird Street, Union, SC 29379.
