Bruce William Inman

Bruce William Inman, age 71, husband of Melissa Snyder Inman, of 107 Newport Drive, Union, passed away, Friday, December 8, 2023 at his home. 

Mr. Inman was born July 4, 1952 in Union, a son of Sadie Knox Inman and the late John William Inman.  He was a 1970 graduate of Union High School and a 1974 graduate of the University of South Carolina Columbia where he received a bachelor’s degree in political science and a minor in History.  Mr. Inman retired from Rock-Tenn Company in Greenville and had previously worked for Milliken & Co. – Monarch Plant.  He attended Mon Aetna Baptist Church. Mr. Inman was an avid Gamecock fan and loved the outdoors, especially golfing.  He loved his family and his dog “Tank.”

Surviving in addition to his wife and mother are two daughters, Lindsey Inman of Union and Lauren I. Turner of Union; four grandchildren, Hunter Ryan Vassey, Aidan Reid Turner, Amelia Elizabeth Allen, and Ella Candler; the mother of his children, Robin Inman of Union; his mother-in-law, Cora Snyder of Buffalo; and numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins.  He was predeceased by his father-in-law, James Earl “Buddy” Snyder.

Funeral services will be held at 3:30 PM Wednesday, December 13, 2023 at Mon Aetna Baptist Church conducted by Rev. Dr. Tommy Tucker and Rev. Scott Cobb.  Burial will follow at Union Memorial Gardens.

Active pallbearers will be Ken Black, Kenny Parks, Jeff Littlejohn, Ryan Vassey, Scott Malone, Steve Rogers, David Scott, and Tommy Knox.

Visitation will be held from 2:00 PM until 3:30 PM prior to the services at the Church.
