Mr. Bruce Dale Pace, age 83, of 139 Poppy Lane, Pacolet, widower of June Hogan Pace, passed away Friday, February 12, 2021 at the Spartanburg Regional Hospice Home.
Mr. Pace was born in Pacolet, July 14, 1937, a son of the late Leroy and Ira Parker Pace. He retired from TieTex in Spartanburg and was a veteran of the US Air Force. Mr. Pace was a member of Tate Memorial Baptist Church where he had served as choir director and loved singing alongside his wife. He was a great supporter of the Wounded Warrior Project, the St. Joseph’s Lakota Indian School and the American Cancer Society. Mr. Pace was an avid gardener who loved fishing and sports, especially the Carolina Gamecocks.
Surviving are two daughters, Libby Pace of Glencoe, MD and Carole Carter and husband Kelly of Jonesville; a son, Chris Pace and wife Heather of Woodruff; a brother, Maurice Pace and wife Julie; five grandchildren, Katie Sherman, Devin Carter, Kyleigh Pace, Hannah Pace and Zack Pace and five great-grandchildren. Mr. Pace was predeceased by a sister Betty Jean Wiley and a brother, Roger Pace.
A memorial graveside service will be held at 1:30 PM, Saturday, February 20, 2021 at Pacolet Memorial Gardens conducted by Rev. Dennis Tessnier. The family will receive at the cemetery immediately following the service.
