Obituary

            Mr. Otis Bryan McSwain, age 75, husband of Sandy Doss McSwain of Old Buffalo Rd., Union, passed away Monday, August 21, 2023 at his home.

            Mr. McSwain was born in Union, July 1, 1948, a son of the late Otis T. McSwain and Nina Liner McSwain. Mr. McSwain was a 1966 graduate of Union High School where he was a four sports letterman and was inducted into the Union High School Sports Hall of Fame. He was also a graduate of Cecil’s Business College and retired from the marketing and advertising industry. Mr. McSwain was an avid Clemson fan.

            Surviving in addition to his wife are five sons, Casey McSwain and wife Kandace of Jonesville, Sean Liveright and wife Heather of Buffalo, Jonathan McSwain and wife Jenn of Connecticut, Chris Liveright and wife Kristie of Pendleton, and Shane Pleasant of W. Columbia; a sister, Sandra Moore of Huntsville, AL; a niece Christie Kamsickas and husband Gary; two nephews, Barry Moore and wife Patti and Robert Moore and wife Wendy all of Alabama. He is also survived by thirteen grandchildren and one great-grandchild.

            A service to celebrate his life will be held at 3:00 PM Sunday, September 17, 2023 at the S.R. Holcombe Funeral Chapel conducted by Rev. Robert Scott.

            Visitation will be held at the chapel from 2:00 until 3:00 PM prior to the services.

            Memorials may be made to the Warriors 4 Rare Disease, c/o Founder Federal Credit Union, 315 Buffalo-West Springs Hwy., Union, SC 29379.
