Burley Hawkins Obituary

            Mr. Burley Hawkins, age 86, husband of Margie Lawson Hawkins of 208 Seigler Rd., Union, passed away Monday, November 23, 2020 at Mary Black Hospital.

            Mr. Hawkins was born in Union, July 31, 1934, a son of the late Henry and Lizzie Enlow Hawkins. He was a graduate of Union High School and Jones Business College. Mr. Hawkins was retired after 21 years from the US Navy having served in the Vietnam War. After service he owned an appliance store and was owner of The Family Restaurant in Jacksonville, FL. Mr. Hawkins loved to sing and play Country and Blue Grass music.

            Surviving in addition to his wife of 19 years, Margie, are a daughter, Tanya Belle Kovacs of Jacksonville, FL; two sons, Robert Clark Hawkins and wife Shelia Ann of Orlando, FL and Johnny Ross Hawkins and wife Kelly Lynn of Jacksonville, FL; two step-sons, Michael Phillips and wife Harriett of Spartanburg and Marty Phillips of Charleston; six grandchildren, Austin Kovacs, Kaylin Hammer, Michael Kovacs, Chasity Uvalle, Christopher Hawkins and Brandon Hawkins; and five great-grandchildren; Haylie Kovacs, Chase Allen, Hudson Uvalle, Lance Hawkins and Emersen Hawkins.

            A celebration of life gathering will be scheduled for a later date.

            The family will be at the home, 208 Seigler Rd., Union.
