Mr. Clarkson Boyce “C.B.” Blackwell, age 76 of 1005 Deepwater Rd., Union, widower of Kathy Poole Blackwell, passed away Saturday, September 19, 2020 at Spartanburg Regional Hospice Home.
Mr. Blackwell was born February 28, 1944 in Jonesville, a son of the late B.H. Blackwell and Marie Bradley Blackwell. He was a graduate of Union High School. Mr. Blackwell owned and operated CB’s Brake and Alignment. He was a member of Sardis United Methodist Church and Union Masonic Lodge #75. Mr. Blackwell was an avid coon hunter.
Surviving are a daughter, Karen Petty and husband Tommy of Union; two granddaughters, Katelyn Petty and Kalli Petty both of Union; a brother, Bruce Blackwell and wife Diane of Union; and a number of nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by two sisters, Sybil Russell and Nancy Martin.
Funeral services will be held at 4:30 PM Tuesday, September 22, 2020 at the S.R. Holcombe Funeral Chapel conducted by the Rev. Jeff Farmer. Burial will follow at Sardis United Methodist Church Cemetery.
Active pallbearers will be Steve Cobb, Charles Kelly, Phillip Russell, Brad Blackwell, Aaron Petty, and Sammy Smith.
Visitation will be held from 3:30 until 4:30 PM prior to the services at the S.R. Holcombe Funeral Home.
The family would like to thank the Nurses and Staff of Greenville Memorial Hospital and Spartanburg Regional Hospice Home for their love and care of Mr. Blackwell during his illness.
