Mrs. Connie Faye Puckett Knox, age 83, 110 Hidden Hill Road, Union, widow of Franklin D. “Yankee” Knox, went to be with the Lord Saturday, August 12, 2023 at the home of her son.
Mrs. Knox was born in Union, June 16, 1940, the daughter of the late James Edward Puckett, Sr. and Corrie Bevis Puckett. She attended Union County Schools and was a retired textile worker having worked for Inman Mills in Enoree. Mrs. Knox attended Center Cross Church in Chesnee.
Surviving is a daughter Debra Mitchum and husband Randy of Union, and two sons, Billy Knox and wife Julie of Union and Robert Knox and wife Dana of Indian Land. Mrs. Knox is survived by a brother Roy Puckett and wife Pam of Union. Surviving grandchildren are Billy Knox, Jr, Steven Rhinehart, Haley Knox, Micah Knox, Noah Knox, Joe Gaddy (Kala), Jessica Waddell (Delance) and Jamie Gaddy. Mrs. Knox is survived by great grandchildren, Kelsey Tucker Garner (Adrian), Asher Rhinehart, Makayla Hughes, Abbigail Hughes, Addison Hughes, Karissa Revis, Brayden Revis, Aubrey Hudspeth, Alyssa Waddell, Jackson Waddell, Lukas Waddell, Jeremiah Waddell, Joseph Gaddy, and C.J. Gaddy. There are four great great grandchildren surviving Mrs. Knox. They are Taylan Tucker, Christian Barber, Harmony Garner and Aria Garner. She was predeceased by sisters, Mildred Puckett, Joyce West, Jenny Beard; brothers, Harold Puckett, James “Puck” Puckett, Jr., Landy ”Gene” Puckett, Ralph Puckett, Thomas “Eddie” Puckett and Troy Puckett. Mrs. Knox was also predeceased by grandchildren Cathy and Chasity Knox. a great great grandson, Jacob Gaddy and special friend, Vivian “Pible” Kelly.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM Tuesday, August 15, 2023 at the S.R. Holcombe Funeral Chapel conducted by Pastor Joey Mills. Interment will be in Rosemont Cemetery.
The following will be serving as pallbearers, Sam, Patrick and Dennis Kelley, Michael Beard, Butch and Richard Puckett and Steven Rhinehart.
Visitation will be Monday from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM at S.R. Holcombe Funeral Chapel.
