David Shannon Sinclair

            Mr. David Shannon “Shane” Sinclair, age 53 of 648 Brown’s Creek Rd., Union, passed away Sunday, April 21, 2024, at Prisma Health, Richland in Columbia.

            David was born in Union, October 25, 1970, a son of Joyce Owensby Sinclair of the home and the late Floyd Sinclair. He was a 1990 graduate of Union High School and was employed with Wal-Mart of Union. He was an avid fan of football games, going to races and eating out, especially at fish camps. David was of the Baptist faith.

            Surviving in addition to his mother are two brothers, Russell Sinclair of Union and Randall Sinclair and wife Cindy of Greenwood and a special niece and nephew, Caroline Sinclair and Dalton Sinclair and wife Madison all of Union. He is also survived by aunts and uncles, Nadie Gault and husband Keith, Christine Ginty and husband Tom, Larry Sinclair and wife Elaine, Olin Sinclair, and Ron Owensby all of Union, and Mike Owensby and wife Jane of Wisconsin and numerous cousins.

            Funeral services will be held at 3:00 PM Sunday, April 28, 2024 at the S.R. Holcombe Funeral Chapel conducted by Rev. Scott Cobb. Burial will follow at Rosemont Cemetery.

            Visitation will be held from 6:00 until 8:00 PM Saturday evening at the S.R. Holcombe Funeral Home.

            Active pallbearers will be Mike Chastain, Michael Vinson, Howard “Wahoo” Gibson, Dalton Sinclair, Logan Yarbrough, Daniel Adams and Benji Humphries.

            The family will be at the home, 648 Brown’s Creek Rd., Union.
