David Wayne Turner

Mr. David Wayne Turner, age 87, husband of Juanita Haney Turner of 909 Flat Dr., Buffalo, passed away Tuesday, November 16, 2021 at Mary Black Hospital.

Mr. Turner was born in Morristown, TN, January 31, 1934, a son of the late Clarence A. Turner and Juanita Faye Campbell Turner. He retired from Cone Mill, Carlisle Finishing and afterwards worked part-time at Conso Products. Mr. Turner attended New Hope Baptist Church.

Surviving in addition to his wife Juanita of 69 years, is a daughter, Pricilla Kingsmore of Greenwood; a son, Roger Dale Turner and wife Hope of Buffalo; a sister, Virginia Dockery of Union; a brother, Harold Roy Turner and wife Susan of Buffalo and a sister-in-law, Carolyn Haney of the home. He is also survived by five grandchildren, Tracey Bevis, Scott Turner and wife Tonya, Daniel Travis Kingsmore, Jennifer Rogers and Beverly Davis and husband Jeffery; 15 great-grandchildren: Michael Conejo and wife Ashley, Trey Bevis and wife Whitney, Ried Bevis, Dustin Turner and wife Erin, Katie Turner, Kelsey Hill, Gregory Kingsmore, Zoe Schatze, Heleana Kingsmore, Rebekah Rogers, Rachel Rogers, Isabella Rogers, Daniel Kurtz, Nathan Kurtz and Leah Jane Davis; 4 great-great grandchildren, Hendrix Conejo, Delany Turner, Kimber Turner and Lindee Gail Schatze and numerous nieces and nephews. Mr. Turner was predeceased by a son-in-law, Rodney Kingsmore and three sisters, Ruth Gothia, Victoria Davis and Velda Haney.

The family wishes to say a special thank you the staff and nurses of Mary Black Hospital, 2nd floor tower, and Spartanburg Regional Hospice especially, Stephanie and Michelle.

Funeral services will be held at 3:00 PM Saturday, November 20, 2021, at New Hope Baptist Church conducted by Rev. Johnny Burgess. Burial will follow at Rosemont Cemetery.

Active pallbearers will be David Lee, Scotty Turner, Michael Conejo, Travis Kingsmore, Stanley Haney, Andy Eller and Jackie Barnes.

Visitation will be held Saturday from 1:30 until 3:00 PM at the church prior to the service.
