Debra Whisnant Cavender

            Mrs. Debra Whisnant “Debbie” Cavender, age 67, of 253 Cambridge Dr., Union, passed away Saturday, April 3, 2021 at her home.

            Mrs. Cavender was born in Union, October 24, 1953 a daughter of the late William McPhillips Whisnant and Corrie Farr Whisnant. She was a graduate of Union High School and retired from Sonoco Products. Mrs. Cavender was a member of Morningside Baptist Church and was a loving Mother and Nana.

            Surviving are a daughter, Crystal Cavender Todd and husband Daniel; a son Andrew Cavender all of Union; two grandchildren, Cameron and Isabella Todd; a brother, Danny Whisnant; a sister-in-law, Mrs. Bruce (Iris) Whisnant; and her fur baby, Rocky Theodore Cavender. She was predeceased by a brother, Bruce Whisnant.       

            Graveside services will be held at 1:00 PM Wednesday, April 7, 2021, at Union Memorial Gardens conducted by Rev. Andrew Austin and Rev. Robert Scott.

            Active pallbearers will be Clay Whisnant, Brice Whisnant, Steven Marshall, David Barber, Sam White and Mikey Callahan. Mrs. Cavender’s friends from work are asked to sit in a group.

            The family will receive friends at the graveside immediately following the service.

            Memorials may be made to Morningside Baptist Church, 112 Bates Ave., Union, SC 29379.
