Doris Overa White

            Miss Doris Overa White, age 94, formerly of Haile St., Jonesville passed away Friday, April 16, 2021 at Spartanburg Regional Medical Center.

            Miss White was born in Union Co., October 12, 1926, a daughter of the late Thomas Clyde White Sr. and Eva Carolyn Gregory White. She was a graduate of Jonesville High School and retired from WSPA Television and had previously retired from Bellsouth Telephone having worked in South Carolina and Florida. Miss White was a member of New Hope United Methodist Church.

            Surviving are a sister, Patty Sue Hoyle of Pacolet and numerous nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by four sisters, Evelyn Robinson, Mildred Barkley, Lee Ila Pearson and Marguerite Harvey and three brothers, Thomas C. White, Jr., Keith White and Lewis White.

            Graveside services will be held at 2:00 PM Monday, April 19, 2021 at New Hope United Methodist Church Cemetery conducted by Rev. Dr. Jim Ivey.

            The family will receive friends at the cemetery immediately following the service.
