Eva Toenjes Obituary

Eva M. Toenjes of Union, South Carolina passed away on April 2, 2021 shortly after celebrating her 89th birthday with dear family and friends.

Eva was a dedicated, supportive, and loving mother to Nicole Toenjes and son-in-law, Todd Mazzola.

Eva was born in the port city of Bremerhaven, Germany on January 29, 1932 to Hans Crueger and Doruthea Leppin Crueger.

Eva's sharp wit, love of music and adventure brought joy to many. After finishing her education, she emigrated from Germany and landed in New York City where she worked and enjoyed Madison Avenue.

A friend to all she met, Eva's journey took her to Kentucky, to Michigan and to her current home in Union, South Carolina.

An unwavering work ethic, Eva retired from Webb Forging in 1997.

Besides her daughter Nicole and many friends, she is survived by her two sisters, Renate and Doris, and one brother, Hans from Bremerhaven, Germany.

In keeping with her wishes, services are private.
