Mrs. Fannie Maness Bright, age 86, of 203 Velda Dr., Union, widow of Albert E. Bright, went to be with the Lord, Saturday, May 29, 2021 at her home surrounded by her family.
Mrs. Bright was born September 10, 1934 in Valley Falls, a daughter of the late Nathaniel Maness and Glennie Justice Maness. She was retired from Milliken & Co. Mrs. Bright was a member of Tanglewood Baptist Church.
Surviving is her daughter, Sherill Peeler Garner of Jonesville; two granddaughters, Michelle Frost Easler and husband Corbin of Union and Chesley Garner of Jonesville; two great-grandchildren, Madison and Jonathan Frost of Union; a special niece, Gigi Burgess and husband Mike of Jonesville; her brother-in-law, J.D. Bright and wife Judy; and a number of nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by a son, Michael Eugene Bright; a son-in-law, John Garner; a sister, Christine Lambert; two brothers, James Maness and Charles Maness; and two nieces.
Funeral services will be held at 3:30 PM Tuesday, June 1, 2021 conducted by the Rev. Charles Hutcheson and Mr. Jimmy Belue. Burial will follow at Jonesville Memorial Gardens.
Active pallbearers will be Jim Maness, Bobby Maness, Corbin Easler, Jonathan Frost, Chris Burgess, and Jamison Moss.
Visitation will be held from 2:30 until 3:30 PM prior to the services at the Church.
The family would like to thank the nurses and staff of Interim Hospice for their love and care of Mrs. Bright during her illness.
