Ms. Charlotte “Faye” Hamby Hall of 202 McPherson St., Union, passed away Monday, January 18, 2021 at Union Medical Center. She was 76 year old.
Ms. Hall was born February 18, 1944, in Laurens, to the late Leon T. Hamby and Julie May Tucker Hamby.
Ms. Hall was formerly employed in the textile industry but in recent years spent much of her time providing care in the home for the elderly and/or disabled. Her true calling and primary role in life was family oriented, maintaining a stable home, and a foundation from which she could offer and provide aide and assistance to an array of family and relatives, whenever they might find themselves in need. She was a member of Faith Baptist Church.
Ms. Hall is survived by her daughters, Kendreal Owen (Tony), and Roxanne Scarborough (Mike Scott), all of Union, and a son, Perry Hall of Powdersville; two sisters, Martha Bolt of Virginia and Jean Blackwell of Clinton; seven grandchildren, Josh Hall (Nicole) of Union, Lee Owen (Jessica) of Spartanburg, Chase Scarborough of Union, Wilson Hall, and Grace Hall both of Powdersville, Meagan Wilson of Utah, and Alisha Rice of Greenville; and four great-grandchildren, Damien Hall of the home, Lexie Hall of Woodruff, and Natalya Owen and Jack Kerr both of Spartanburg. She was predeceased by a grandson, Charles A. Owen, II; three sisters, Gladys Clark, Mable Pearson, and Irene Roger; and four brothers, L.T. Hamby, James Hamby, Jack Hamby and Troy Hamby. She was also predeceased by her longtime friend, Bobby Stewart.
Funeral services will be held at 3:00 PM Saturday, January 23, 2021 at the S.R. Holcombe Funeral Chapel conducted by Rev. Brad Goodale.
Visitation will be held at the chapel following the services.
The family will be at the home, 202 McPherson St., Union.
