Franklin "Frankie" Pettit, Jr. Obituary

Mr. Franklin D. “Frankie” Pettit, Jr., age 65, of 157 Forty Nine Loop Rd., Union, passed away Wednesday, September 1, 2021 at his home.

Mr. Pettit was born May 20, 1956 in Union, a son of the late Franklin D. Pettit and Betty Jo Laxton Pettit.  He was a 1974 graduate of Union High School and was formerly employed with Henderson Plumbing.  Mr. Pettit was of the Baptist Faith.  He loved cats.

Surviving was survived by his sisters, Anita Pettit Laskin and husband Howard of Jonesville and Teresa Pettit McCall and husband Tony of Union; a brother, Robert Warren Pettit of Union; three nieces, Casey Evans Felmet and husband Tommy of Pauline, Heather P. Stamey and husband Joey of Boiling Springs, and Lauren P. Franks and husband James of Pacolet; and six great-nieces and nephews, Evan Felmet, Dalton Felmet, Ella Felmet, Ada Stamey, Harper Franks, Thomas Franks,

Graveside services will be held at 3:00 PM Friday, September 3, 2021 at Beulah Baptist Church Cemetery conducted by the Rev. Merritt Wentz.

Active pallbearers will be Glenn Palmer, Vernon Mosley, Brian Henderson, Tommy Felmet, Mike Scott, and Jonathan Patrick.  The following are asked to form the honorary escort, Gene Horne, Bobby DeHart, Truett Garner, Don Hyder, James Franks, Joey Stamey, Bo Patrick, and Ron Pettit.

Visitation will held after the services at the cemetery.

The family request that those in attendance follow COVID-19 protocols by wearing mask and social distancing.

In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the Union County Animal Shelter, 1647 Jonesville Hwy, Union, SC 29379.

The family is at his home, 157 Forty Nine Loop Rd., Union, SC 29379.
