Gladys Henderson Obituary

         Mrs. Gladys Ham Henderson, age 84, of 829 Meansville Road, Union, widow of Franklin Reese Henderson, passed away on Monday, January 4, 2021 at Spartanburg Medical Center. 

            Mrs. Henderson was born in Union, December 18, 1936, a daughter of the late Gettes  and Emily Redmon Ham.  She was a 1959 graduate of Union High School and had formerly worked at Her Majesty.  She was a member of Union Church of Christ where she selflessly worked for her church and enjoyed doing for others. Mrs. Henderson was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother. 

            Surviving are a daughter, Debbie Workman and husband Dan of Union; three sons, Tim Henderson and wife Melody of Clayton, GA, Jeff Henderson of Union, John Wayne Henderson of the home; three sisters, Shirley Vanderford and husband Buddy of Buffalo, Ruby Livingston and Lennie Ham both of Union; a brother, Van Ham of Jonesville; eleven grandchildren, Ashley Bright (Lorenzo Wilson), Allen Bright (Tamra Pruitt), Jennifer Westlake (Matt), Chris Henderson (Shae), Heather Adams, Zach Henderson, Scottie Henderson, Serina Henderson and Tiffany Henderson and two great-grandchildren, L.J. Wilson, Aliyah Wilson, Temperance Westlake, Emma-Raye Westlake, Kassian Westlake, Asher Westlake, Caleb Jacobs, Tripp Jacobs, Alexis Wright, Kaydence Chadwick, Trenton Lindsey and Taelyn Lindsey. Mrs. Henderson was predeceased by three sisters, Martha Lovely, Ruth Moore and Rachel Kelly.

            Graveside services will be held at 4:00 PM Wednesday, January 6, 2021 at Union Memorial Gardens conducted by Mr. David Foster and Mr. Kenny Thompson.

            Visitation will be held at the graveside from 3:00 until 4:00 PM prior to the services.

            The family will be at the home of her daughter, Debbie and Dan Workman, 833 Meansville Rd., Union.
