Hilda Ruth Osborne

            Mrs. Hilda Ruth Haney Osborne, age 100, widow of Edward Lee Osborne of Buffalo, passed away Sunday, March 12, 2023, at her daughter’s home in Virginia.

            Mrs. Osborne was born in Buffalo, February 17, 1923, a daughter of the late James Rowe Haney and Clarine Ratcliff Haney. She was a member of Buffalo United Methodist Church and was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother.

            Mrs. Osborne was the last surviving member of her immediate family. She is survived by a son Ron Osborne and wife JoAnn; a daughter Judy Faggard and husband Shan; four grandchildren, Alicia Osborne (Peejay Perez De Alejo), Chase Osborne, Shayna Walker (Rob), and Trae Carter; six great-grandchildren, Darren Walker, Destini Carter, Mason Carter, Callie Walker, Georgia Perez De Alejo, and August Perez De Alejo; and one great-great grandchild, Kinslee Carter.

            Funeral services will be held at 3:00 PM Saturday, March 18, 2023, at Buffalo United Methodist Church conducted by Rev. Kevin Dalton. Burial will follow at Union Memorial Gardens.

            Visitation will be held from 6:00 until 8:00 PM Friday evening at the S.R. Holcombe Funeral Home.
