Mr. Hugh Franklin Tucker, age 81, husband of Linda Clack Tucker, of 507 Thompson Blvd., Union, passed away, Sunday, March 28, 2021 at Mary Black Hospital.
Mr. Tucker was born October 28, 1939 in Union, a son of the late Walter G. Tucker and Leoria Davis Tucker. He was a graduate of Lockhart High School and retired from American Fast Print in Spartanburg and had previously worked at Cone Mill—Carlisle Finishing Plant. Mr. Tucker was retired from the South Carolina National Guard—Lockhart Unit. He was a volunteer for the Union Fire Department for many years. Mr. Tucker was a member of Gilead Baptist Church. He had a passion and love for yardwork, woodwork and watching birds. Mr. Tucker collected stamps, bottles and hats. He was an avid NASCAR fan.
Surviving in addition to his wife are a daughter, Tracy Michelle Butler and husband Royce of Knoxville, TN; two grandchildren, Garrett Butler and Megan Butler both of Knoxville, TN; and several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by a sister, Faye Byrd and three brothers, Floyd Tucker, Marvin Tucker and Leroy Tucker.
Graveside Services will be held at 3:00 PM Thursday, April 1, 2021 at Union Memorial Gardens conducted by the Rev. Dr. Eddie Saxon.
Active pallbearers will be Garrett Butler, Robert Gibson, Robin Williams, Caelen Rhinehardt, Jimmy Hendrix, and Jack Dill.
Visitation will be held 6:00 until 8:00 PM Wednesday evening at the S.R. Holcombe Funeral Home.
