J.B. Sanders

            Mr. J.B. Sanders, age 83, husband of Ann Bailey Sanders of 468 Beatty’s Bridge Rd., Union, passed away Sunday, April 10, 2022 at Lake Emory Post Acute Care.

            Mr. Sanders was born in Union, September 28, 1938, a son of the late Ernest and Pansy Knox Sanders. He was retired from Cone Mill, Carlisle Finishing and was a cattle farmer.

            Surviving in addition to his wife are a daughter, Pennie S. Duckett and husband Anthony of Union; a sister, Myrtle S. Williams of Concord, NC; a brother, Caroll Sanders and wife Beth of Newberry; two grandchildren, Tiffany McCall and husband Steven, and Traci Hughey and husband Justin all of Union; six great-grandchildren, Trevor, Hunter, and Ava McCall, Allie and Harlee Lawson and Austin Hughey; and a number of nieces and nephews. Mr. Sanders was predeceased by a daughter, Merrie Robbin Sanders and two sisters, Margaret Kerr and Betty Wilburn.

            Graveside services will be held at 1:00 PM Wednesday, April 13, 2022 at Union Memorial Gardens conducted by Chaplain Sandra Smith.

            The family will receive friends at the graveside immediately following the service.

            Memorials may be made to Providence Care Hospice, 634 Fairview Rd., Simpsonville SC 29680.

            The family will be at their respective homes.
