Mr. James Larry “Tick” Davis, age 63, husband of June Duckett Davis of 296 Meansville Rd. Apt. B2, Union, passed away Sunday, September 17, 2023 at Union Medical Center.
Mr. Davis was born in Union, July 9, 1960, a son of the late John and Gayle Hinson Davis. He retired after 44 years with Milliken and Company. Mr. Davis was a member of Ottaray Baptist Church where he was a member of the Brotherhood of the church.
Surviving in addition to his wife are two daughters, Randi Leigh Gregory, and Danielle Wade and husband Scotty all of Union; a son, Matthew Davis of Oklahoma; a sister, Donna Compton and husband Jason of Union and two brothers, Johnny Davis and wife Angie, and Gregg Davis and wife Cappy all of Union. He is also survived by grandchildren, Chase Bevis, Kylie Roberts, Maliyah Snow, Hallie Gregory, Ethan Snow and Jaxon Roberts.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM, Wednesday, September 20, 2023, at Ottaray Baptist Church conducted by Rev. Walter Holcombe. Visitation will be held from 1:00 until 2:00 PM at the church prior to the services.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the James Larry Davis Fund, PO Box 148, Union, SC 29379.
The family will be at the home, 296 Meansville Rd., Apt B2, Union.
