James Judy Obituary

            Mr. James William “Pete” Judy, age 69, husband of Mary Lee West Judy of 247 Putman Rd., Buffalo, passed away Tuesday, September 29, 2020 at his home.

            Mr. Judy was born in Union, September 10, 1951, a son of the late James Watts and Ollie Mae West Brock. He retired from Renfro Brothers Construction in Spartanburg and was of the Baptist faith.

            Surviving in addition to his wife are three daughters, Cynthia “Sissy” Bobo of Union, Jennifer Judy Adams and husband Mike of Santuck and Tesla Dakota Judy and friend Joseph Greene of Charleston; two sons, Davey Betenbaugh and wife Heather of Mt. Holly, NC and James Michael “Jimmy” Judy of California; two sisters, Linda Harrold of Oklahoma and Mary Long and husband Jeff of Iowa; three brothers, Raymond Watts of Oklahoma, Kavin Watts and wife Audrey of Kansas and David Judy and wife Tabitha of Georgia. He is also survived by his grandchildren, Tara Putnam, who was reared in the home, and husband Cody, Devin Vanderford, Logan Betenbaugh, Terry Burgess, III, and Justin Kennedy, great-grandchildren, Liam Guyton and Elijah Guyton, his best friends, Terry "Billy"  Burgess, Jr. and Aaron Petty both of Buffalo and Daryl Engelken of Kansas and several nieces and nephews. Mr. Judy was predeceased by two sisters, Peggy Judy and Kaye Hensel, and a brother, Richard Watts.

            At Pete’s request, no services will be scheduled.

            Memorials may be made to the Pete Judy Fund, P.O. Box 293, Union, SC 29379.

            The family will be at the home, 247 Putman Rd., Buffalo.
