James Lemons Obituary

Mr. James Wesley Lemons, Sr., age 73 of 709 Rice Ave. Ext., Union, passed away Friday, May 6, 2022, at Heartland of Union.

Mr. Lemons was born November 2, 1948, in Union, a son of the late Homer Lemons and Louise Fowler Lemons.  He was retired from Ray Lemons Grading and Bulldozing.  Mr. Lemons attended Oakbrook Community Church.

Surviving is a daughter, Crissy Richardson of Lockhart; a son, James Wesley Lemons, Jr. of Adamsburg; two sisters, Sue Farr and husband Jerry and Easter Steele all of Jonesville; two brothers, Ned Lemons and wife Rachel of Pacolet and Ray Lemons and wife Wanda of Jonesville; the mother and stepfather of his children, Lynn and Jay Williams of Lockhart; two grandchildren; two great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.  He was predeceased by a sister and three brothers.

Graveside services will be held at 2:00 PM Tuesday, May 10, 2022, at Lockhart Cemetery conducted by the Rev. Randy Burgess and Rev. Shawn Ingle. 

Active pallbearers will be Robert Small, Willard Farr, Scott Steele, Christopher Lemons, Travis Bishop, and David Faucette.  The following are asked to sit in a group and form the honorary escort, Brian Farr, Charles Farr, Butch Gist, and Joe Lewis Wilkes.

Visitation will be immediately following the services at the cemetery.

The family would like to thank the Nurses and Staff of Heartland Nursing Home and Hospice for their love and care of Mr. Lemons.

The family is at their respective homes.
