James Earl Sinclair

            Mr. James Earl Sinclair, age 75, of 164 Stevens Rd., Buffalo, passed away Monday, September 4, 2023 at his home surrounded by his family. He was married to the late Joyce Boulware Sinclair for 50 years and was a devoted and loving husband, father and grandfather.

            Mr. Sinclair was born in Union, April 3, 1948, a son of the late Earl and Dorothy Cain Sinclair. He was a 1966 graduate of Union High School and a graduate of Cecil’s Business College. Mr. Sinclair retired as a CNC Programmer for Timken Company.

            Mr. Sinclair was a veteran of the US Army having served in the Vietnam War. He enjoyed going on walks, woodworking, gardening and fishing. He was also an avid NASCAR racing fan. Mr. Sinclair attended Buffalo Baptist Church.

            Surviving are two daughters, Jennifer Allen and husband Jeff of Union, and Jessica Clevenger and husband Mike of Buffalo; three sisters, Judy Sanford of Buffalo, Shirley Robinson and husband Roger, and Candy Canupp and husband Randy all of Union; and a brother, David Sinclair and wife Tracy of Jonesville. He is also survived by four grandchildren, Levi Allen, Noah Allen, Savannah Williams and Weston Paige. He was predeceased by a brother, Wayne Sinclair and a special brother-in-law, James Sanford.

            The family wishes to say a special Thank You to caregivers, Pam Boyea, Veronica Clark, Latoya Eison and sister, Judy Sanford along with the staff and nurses of Agape Hospice for the outstanding care, love and compassion given to Mr. Sinclair during his illness.

            Funeral services will be held at 12:00 noon, Wednesday, September 6, 2023 at the S.R. Holcombe Funeral Chapel conducted by Rev. Jimmy Goudelock and Chaplain Darnell Durrah. Burial with Military Honors will be at Union Memorial Gardens.

            Visitation will be held from 10:30 AM until 12:00 noon Wednesday at the chapel prior to the services.

            Active pallbearers will be Curtis Plexico, Byrd Ivey, Terry Sanford, David Sinclair, Roger Bishop and Larry Sinclair.
