Janice (Guinn) Bailey

           Mrs. Janice Guinn Bailey, 82, widow of Jack D. Bailey of 4706 Jonesville-Lockhart Hwy., Union, SC passed away Friday, September 1, 2023, at Spartanburg Medical Center.    

            Mrs. Bailey was born in Union, SC September 1, 1941, a daughter of the late J.D and Nora Bentley Guinn. She was a graduate of Lockhart High School and former owner and operator of Bumble Bees Day Care. Mrs. Bailey was a member of Lockhart First Baptist Church where she was a member of the Adult II Sunday School Class.  Mrs. Bailey was a loving and devoted wife, mother, and grandmother, she truly enjoyed spending time with her family.

            Surviving are a son, Jeff Bailey (Kim) of Union; a daughter, Leisa Bailey of Union; grandchildren, Aaron Bailey (Morgan) of Union, Ethan Bailey of Charlotte, NC, Ashlei Davis (Wesley) of Ruby, SC, Bailey Barnes of Columbia and Kirk Barnes (Courtney) of Columbia; great grandchildren, Bentley Davis and Taytum Davis; Special Friends, Robert Palmer, Nancy Lawson and Naomi Bassett.

            Funeral Services will be held, 2:00 PM Monday, September 4, 2023 at Lockhart Free Will Baptist Church conducted by the Rev. Brad Goodale and Rev. Drew Rogers. Burial will be at Mt. Tabor Presbyterian Church Cemetery.

            Visitation will be 12:00 until 2:00 PM prior to the services at Lockhart Free Will Baptist Church.

            Active Pallbearers will be Dale Inman, Marty Reardon, Todd Palmer, Scott Vlock, Mike Bailey and Doug Guinn.

            Memorials may be made to Lockhart First Baptist Church Building Fund, 126 Armory Rd., Union, SC 29379.

            The family will be at the home of her son, Jeff and Kim Bailey, 738 Old Pump Station Rd., Union, SC 29379.
