Jeri Alexis Gresham

            Jeri Alexis Gresham, age 24, of 109 Blue Bird Rd., Union, passed away, Sunday, August 29, 2021, at her home.

            Alexis was born March 25, 1997, in Union, a daughter of Jerry Wayne “Slim” Gresham and Andrea Harris Gresham.  She was a 2014 graduate of Union High School and was a member of Hebron Baptist Church.  Alexis was the light of her family’s world and those who met her left with many blessings.

            Surviving in addition to her parents are two brothers, Tyler Gresham and wife Donielle of Buffalo and Jerry Wayne Gresham, II of the home; a sister, Hailey Gresham and fiancé Nicholas Davis of Buffalo; her maternal grandmother, Linda K. Jolly of Union; her nieces and nephews, who were “her babies,” Brandon Colt Gresham, Bristol Marie Gresham, Riley Joel Davis, and Carson Lee Davis; three aunts, Kay Edwards of Union, Carolyn Edwards and husband Martin of Union; and Wanda Loftis; two special aunts, Linda Jolly and Melissa Lanier; and a special uncle, Nathan Jolly.  She was predeceased by her maternal grandfather, Olin D. Jolly and her paternal grandparents, Jerry L. Gresham and Betty L. Gresham.

            Funeral services will be held at 3:00 PM Thursday, September 2, 2021, at Putman Baptist Church conducted by the Rev. Tommy Mann and Rev. Larry Padgett.  Burial will follow at Putman Baptist Church Cemetery.

            Active pallbearers will be Tyler Gresham, Wayne Gresham, Greg Vinson, Joseph Edwards, Kirby Hopkins, and Nick Davis.

            Visitation will be held from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM Wednesday evening at the S.R. Holcombe Funeral Home.

            The family would like to thank MSA Hospice, especially her good friends, Caitlin Nix and Brittany Gardin, her nurses, Candice, Amanda, Raye, Miranda, and Chaplin Ronnie for the love and care shown to Alexis.  They would also like to thank her teacher, Judy Fant for her love and care through the years.
