Jerry Davis Obituary

            Mr. Jerry Wayne Davis, age 60, husband of Joy Kay Martin Davis of 224 Richard St., Union, passed away Tuesday, April 19, 2022 at Union Medical Center.

            Mr. Davis was born in Union, December 19, 1961, a son of the late Fred James Davis and Darnell Deputy Davis. He was a graduate of Union High School and retired from the textile industry. Mr. Davis was a member of Morningside Baptist Church.

            Surviving in addition to his wife of 16 years, Kay, area step daughter, Becky Gillian and husband Jamie of Spartanburg; a sister, Thelma Bledsoe and husband Dee of Buffalo; two brothers, Roy Davis and wife Alice of Union and Fred Davis, Jr. and wife Sherry of Enoree; and several nieces and nephews and great, and great-great nieces and nephews. He also leaves behind his pet, Cena. Mr. Davis was predeceased by three sisters and two brothers.

            A memorial service will be held at 2:00 PM Saturday, April 30, 2022, at Morningside Baptist Church conducted by Rev. Andrew Austin. Visitation will be held from 1:00 until 2:00 PM Saturday at the church prior to the service.

            Memorials may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, 262 Danny Thomas Place, Memphis, TN  38105 or to the Shriner's Hospital for Children, 950 W. Faris Rd., Greenville, SC 29605.

            The family will be at the home, 224 Richard St., Union.
