Mr. Joel Anthony “Tony” Cameron, age 62 of Union, passed away Saturday, October 3, 2020.
Mr. Cameron was born April 4, 1958 in Union, a son of Mary Queen Cameron and the late Hennis Cameron, and brother of Tracy Cameron and Charles Cameron.
Mr. Cameron worked in the textile industry for many years until the textile industry shut down, he then worked in the construction business. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, camping, and many more outdoor activities but he truly loved sports. He coached youth football and youth baseball for several years during that time he impacted many young lives. Mr. Cameron coached those young boys in much more than ball but also life. He taught them as well as displayed the values of hard work, loyalty, and family above all. He was there for each of them on and off the field. Mr. Cameron never missed a game whether he was coaching or cheering his two sons from the sidelines once they entered high school. He was their biggest fan and truly an inspiration to many. He was a family man and loved his family dearly. Mr. Cameron was most proud of his sons as they are his greatest accomplishments.
Surviving in addition to his mother are two sons, Chad Cameron and wife Paige of Union ad Jason Cameron and wife Heather of Jonesville and three grandchildren, Waylen Cameron, Heidi Cameron, and Anthony James Cameron.
The family will hold a celebration of life service at the family home at 902 W. Main St., Union, on Wednesday, October 7, 2020 from 6:30 until 8:30 PM.
