John L Davis

Mr. John L. Davis, age 86, of 243 Old Buncombe Rd., Union, widower of Gayle Hinson Davis went home to be with the Lord, Wednesday, July 1, 2020.

Mr. Davis was born in Lee, Virginia April 8, 1934 a son of the late Woody Howell and Beulah Lawson Davis. He was a member of Christian Fellowship Baptist Church.

Surviving are a daughter, Donna Compton and husband, Jason of Union; three sons, John L. Davis, Jr. and wife, Angie, James Larry Davis and wife June and Gregg Davis and wife Cappy all of Union; a brother, Ken Howell and wife, Dee Dee of Kings Mountain, NC; twelve Grandchildren; eighteen great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.  Mr. Davis was predeceased by three sisters and two brothers.

Graveside services will be held 11:00 AM Friday, July 3, 2020 at Rosemont Cemetery conducted by the Rev. Randy Smith.

Honorary Pallbearers will be Timmy Davis, Nick Davis, Justin Hart, Daniel Addis and Matt Davis.

Visitation will be held immediately following the service at the cemetery.
